Naughty blogger

Thursday

Guys! Sorry for the lack of posts this week! It's been a crazy one with things at work getting busier as we rush towards the end of the year, fitness classes and gym visits happening every day, and generally being knackered at the end of it all - the amount of takeaways we've been having lately is shocking, there's barely time to eat dinner at the moment, let alone cook it! I'm sure most of you are feeling the same though. Isn't it crazy how busy it gets around this time of year, a time of year that, here in the southern hemisphere at least, is supposed to be a relaxing time spent soaking up the sun (although, you wouldn't have guessed it was summer after what happened in Auckland yesterday) Oh well, you don't get something for nothing, and I guess working so hard towards a relaxing summer and festive season makes it all the more worth it in the end.
So, as an aplology for being such a naughty, slack blogger this week, here's some vintage loveliness I've collected on Pinterest for you, to put a smile on your dial in preparation for the weekend. (And, as promised, there will be a NaNoWriMo post coming later today!)

Happy weekend peeps xo

Part time models

Monday

A couple of weeks ago, my sister, Joshua and I went on a little adventure in in the coolest little capital city in the world. My sister is putting together a photography portfolio for school and asked us to be models.
Here are a few of my favourites.

We did some planned and posed ones...

And we did some candid ones, which are my personal favourites in any photo shoot...

A couple of funny things happened...

And then one of the models became the photographer... It's always nice for my sister and I to get our photo taken together because at any event or photo shoot, it's always one of us behind the camera.

Even though we're out of focus, I think this one has to be one of my favourites...

We had a second photo shoot recently, so watch this space for more fantastic photos by my talented little sis!

The Agfa experiment

Thursday

I have a bit of a thing for cameras... My count is currently up to eight vintage, new, near-new, film, manual, digital, polaroid cameras. One of my favourites is my Agfa, simply because a) It looks awesome, and b) it takes beautiful grainy photos that make things look like they're 100 years old.
So this is my first experiment with the Agfa... not the best photos in the world, but I like them anyway because they're of Wellington and I love black and white/vintage photography. And there's nothing quite like taking care when you take a photo because you don't want to waste film and then waiting a week before you can make the trip across town to one of the only places in the city that develops film, then waiting another week for it to be developed, then going back in, choosing the good ones to get printed, then waiting another week before going back to collect your prints. Just like the old days :).

Happy Friday! Have a fabulous weekend :)
